The times, they are a-changin’. A month ago, I wrote a post called “10 Screen-free Indoor Activities.” The shelter in place mandate had just taken effect, and I wanted to help parents keep their kids off screens. Now, a month later, we rely on screens to keep us connected to others. We can also use them to take us places we can’t visit in person. Along those lines, I found 15 super fun 360° virtual factory tours for kids of all ages to enjoy.

Our kids at church were studying the Old Testament before the shelter in place took effect due to the pandemic. Since we are hunkered down and not able to meet in person, I’ve been sending out simple lessons for parents to do with their kiddos at home. Whether you’re home with a sick kid, or on lock down due to a pandemic, you have to miss church on occasion. My family is in the latter situation right now. I am sooooo grateful that I can stream our church’s service online. That’s great for me and my husband and older kids, but my younger ones miss out on their Sunday school class. To help fill that void, I’ve been creating a simple kids’ Bible lesson you can do at home.

Are you on a quest to find things for your kids to do while you’re all on lock down? Our family is currently on week 3 of the shelter in place order with about 4 more to go (sigh). Though we already homeschool, I’m finding it’s helpful to “mix things up” a little and give the kids tasks to challenge them. LEGOs are my go-to to get my kids to think creatively. I’ve already made a 32 challenge printable you can read about here. To try something different, I made Disney themed LEGO challenges.
