Free Editable 2020 Calendar Printable

With a new year, comes the need for a new calendar. I am very particular about what I want in a calendar. I want it to be free, lined, editable, and have two pages per month. We’re a big family, so we have a lot of activities to fill in! I searched online, and when I couldn’t find what I wanted, I created my own. Now I want to offer to you my free editable 2020 calendar printable.

Lined and editable

Each day is lined so it’s easier to keep track of different activities. Once you download the pdf, you can click inside each square to type in your information. The cursor will appear behind the date, so press the space bar a few times before typing. You can hit the return key to move further down in each square. I was happy to discover that you can copy and paste information from one square to another. Please not that the “notes” section is not editable.

Paper and printing

I strongly recommend you print your calendar out on card stock. This will make it much more durable. We tend to take our calendar out quite a bit to add dates when we’re on the phone or computer to make appointments.

Unless you want to glue pages together, you will want to print your pages back to back. Your printer may give you the option of printing “even” and “odd” pages. If so, you may be able to print off the evens and then put them back in your printer to print the odd sides on the back. You’ll have to be careful, however, to not print “page 2” on the back of “page 1.” Page 1 is the first page of January, and page 2 is the second page of January. You don’t want those back to back. You would want the second page of January on one side of the page and the first day of February on the back side of the page. Hope that makes sense!

The other option is to just print out two pages at a time. That way you can keep feeding the second of the pages back into the printer to be printed on the other side.

Assembly

You can staple the pages together for easy assembly. I use a comb binding machine to put my calendars together. I took a picture of just two pages bound together so you could see what it looks like.

I originally took a picture of my own calendar, but realized I might not want to publish our entire family’s events for the month! I use a 3/8″ comb for the calendar and it will lay flatter than in the picture.

I bought my comb binding machine from Amazon. The one I have is no longer available, but this one looks even better than mine. It also comes with 100 of the 3/8″ combs I described.

To use the machine, you first place your papers in and punch holes, pulling down the lever. Then you will place a plastic comb in the “teeth” of the machine. You pull back the lever to open the comb and place your papers in the comb. You simply put the lever back into the neutral position and your document is bound. It is very user friendly. I use my machine a lot for homeschooling. I make items such as workbooks, study guides, and assignment books.

I do have to disclose that “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.” That just means if you click through my link and purchase the machine, I may get a small percentage from it.

I hope you enjoy the calendar!
