Top 4 Sites to Buy Curriculum and/or Books

Why “Top 4” you ask? Well, because these are the only sites I actually use. I am not compensated in any way for endorsing these sites. Just had to say that to make myself sound important.

I’m sure many of you have already purchased your curriculum for this school year. If you haven’t, or if you still need to buy a few more items, here are my top four favorite sites for curriculum and books (I inserted the hyperlinks for the sites at the end of each of the site’s description, but they disappeared when publishing my post. Just hover your cursor at the end of each paragraph and you’ll see that you can clink the invisible link there!):

1.Rainbow Resource

This is a family owned company that has an impressive inventory of curriculum, books, games, etc. They are known for their extensive and thorough reviews on products. They also issue a Christmas catalog with great gift ideas for the kids (and adults). Free shipping is standard with an order of $50 or more (that amount is easily met when you see their products). https://www.rainbowresource.com/

2. Christian Book Distributors (or CBD)

Homeschooling products is just one division of what this company offers, but it has really stepped up its game since I started homeschooling. Make sure to watch for free shipping offers if you sign up to receive emails. It is worth it, and the offers are frequent. https://www.christianbook.com/

3. Thrift Books

Beware all you bibliophiles! Thrift Books may be your new weakness. The site sells both new and used books, but it is the used books that are an amazing bargain. I have never been disappointed in the quality of the used books. Okay, maybe once I was disappointed, but I was warned that the book had a lot of wear and tear on it. I was just in denial. They offer a rewards system, in which you receive a free book with every 500 pts. you earn. The icing on the cake is that free shipping is available when you spend only $10! https://www.thriftbooks.com/

4. Amazon

I know, duh. Honestly though, I rarely buy curriculum here. It is simply more expensive than Rainbow Resource or CBD. I also only buy books here when I can’t get them at Thrift Books. Where Amazon really shines for me, is with their textbook rental program. If you have a high schooler in concurrent enrollment at a local junior college, or a full time college student, make sure to check to see if you can rent a textbook instead of buying it. https://www.amazon.com/rentals/b?ie=UTF8&node=17853655011
