Valentine’s Day Alphabet Matching Free Printable

Valentine’s Day Alphabet Matching Free Printable

When my kids were learning their letters, I loved using themed printables. It was especially nice when they were free! I made this Valentine’s Day Alphabet Matching free printable with frugal moms in mind.

Cutting and gluing activities are great because they work on two fine gross motor skills at once. Speaking of gluing, have your kids ever used a small glue stick as lip balm? I’ve had close calls with that in the past. There have been times I wanted to suggest that to my kids. I’m just kidding, or am I?

Using the worksheets

On each sheet it’s easiest to have your kids cut off the bottom portion first. Then they can cut out the letters in rows, then in individual squares. I suggest doing only one sheet at a time to prevent too many pieces from floating around. The kids can then sort and match the upper case letters with the lower case ones. The set is available in the free resource library.

File folder game

If you want to reuse the printables, you can make into a file folder game. I explained how to do so in this post for a free sorting seasons game.

Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!
